We always review after elections because ours is a democratic party,” – Vij

New Delhi/Chandigarh, June 8 – Former Haryana Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that “When the assembly elections come, I will work in the elections, and it is the high command’s prerogative to decide my role in the elections because I have always said that I am a devoted follower of the Bharatiya Janata Party and I will continue to work for the Bharatiya Janata Party.”

 

Sh. Vij was responding to questions asked by the media persons in New Delhi today.

 

*“We will address whatever shortcomings we had in the Lok Sabha elections,” – Vij*

 

In response to a question about losing the Ambala Lok Sabha seat, he said that we lost the Ambala Lok Sabha election by about 40,000 votes and we are analyzing this. He said that whether we win or lose, we always review after the elections because ours is a democratic party and we have started gathering all types of information regarding this. He said that we are collecting information booth by booth and will identify the reasons for loss and taking this matter seriously. He said that we will address whatever shortcomings in the Lok Sabha elections.

*“Regarding winning and losing, my opinion is that ‘still it can be improved,’” – Vij*

 

In response to a question about satisfaction with the BJP winning five seats in the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, he said that he is never satisfied, even when we win, as we always strive for more victories and believe ‘still it can be improved’ because that’s his way of thinking and he applies this mindset to all his work.

 

*“The Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government for the third time in Haryana,” – Vij*

 

In response to a question about Congress claiming to form the government in the upcoming assembly elections, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government for the third time in Haryana. He questioned how Congress, having won only 90 seats compared to the BJP’s 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, and congress celebrate this while BJP has more seats and Modi is going to form the government at the center, not Rahul Gandhi. He asserted that the BJP will form its government with a strong mandate in the upcoming state elections.

*“Changing the Chief Minister is the prerogative of our party’s high command,” – Vij*

 

In response to a question about changing the Chief Minister before the elections in Haryana, Sh. Anil Vij said that it is the prerogative of the party and the high command to change anyone at any time and assign different responsibilities, as we are a national party and the largest party in the country.

 

*“There is no anti-incumbency of any kind,” – Vij*

 

In response to a question about anti-incumbency, he said there is no anti-incumbency because we won five seats in the Loksabha elections in Haryana and we are analyzing the reasons for losses. He said there is always room for improvement and nothing is final. In response to a question about the BJP getting fewer seats in Uttar Pradesh, he said that a coalition government is going to be formed and they had a meeting yesterday to discuss Uttar Pradesh and they are considering all these matters.

In response to a question about the BJP’s loss in Ayodhya, he said we are surprised as we highlighted the achievement of the Ram Temple across the country. However, the temple and politics are different matters. Still, the loss in Ayodhya might be due to more atheists living there.
